Axel Hütte

It’s hard work finding new photographers to post about other than your Mawdsley’s, Holdsworth’s and Learoyd’s. Suffice to say, when you do finally discover that new gem, in this instance Axel Hütte, a feeling of euphoria washes over you as you unsuccessfully attempt to contain yourself.
Axel Hütte’s photographs are void of people: man has no place in these barren landscapes. His depiction of nature recalls that of the historic European traveling artists who went to South America in search of undiscovered vistas. Hütte’s technical ability allows him to achieve panoramic effects without sacrificing attention to composition.
Pictured is ‘Greina, Schweiz’ one of Hütte’s many /images notable for its imposing size and majestic simplicity.
