Nice to see a new agency producing work that isn’t half bad in these times of economic woe. Brand 68 is a small, Cardiff based agency adept in branding and the like. Thanks again to Lyndon for getting in touch and proving that Creative Directors can actually send emails to sites such a these, and not get their account manager to do it for them ;)

Lyndon – Do you feel that design agencies outside of London/other big cities gets ignored/overlooked?
I wouldn’t say ignored, but historically there’s been a definite trend towards those investing heavily in branding tending to look to the capital/big cities rather than locally/regionally.
Its up to us (collectively) to keep the creative standard high and to ensure that we’re on the radar of those who create the opportunities and encourage them to look further afield with confidence.
It’s so great to see a nice new studio setting up in Cardiff! We’re just down the road from you (Departures) and there’s a shortage of ambitious work in the area in my opinion.
I agree that it’s very much down to initiative, smaller agencies outside major cities don’t always get recognition, though blogs are leveling it out to a degree. I find there can be a bit of snobbery towards agencies that aren’t the super star agencies as well, and the work isn’t necessarily judged on it’s merit. Sometimes agencies in less urban locations can be seen as ‘poor cousins’ when this is often not the case.
Definitely agree with you Emma. These days, it seems like the only way to have your work featured in some of the more popular design publications, is to come from a London residing, super star agency.
