Nokia Sales & Marketing Excellence Awards
For the 2009 Nokia Sales & Marketing Excellence Awards we employed art direction, print and online design to create an identity centred on creativity and process. The overall identity was designed and photographed, with individual identity elements forming a bank of additional images for collateral support. Eighteen stop-frame animations showcasing the work were created for the awards ceremony. The winners and runners-up received screen printed acrylic certificates incorporating a unique push-out phone charm.
Nokia Photography Project
Working with the internal Brand Identity team, we were commissioned by Nokia to conduct an exploration into its photography principles. The main aim was to evolve the existing principles through a series of shoots, and deliver an identifiable and ownable range of photography. The shoots were documented and, along with the principles, compiled into a series of A5 french folded books.
If you’ve been following SI for the past year, you will know doubt be familiar with the my taste for the exclusive. And whilst it certainly pays dividends to go that extra mile for the readers, because of a thing called designer/client confidentiality, it isn’t always easy to get hold of exclusive content by “the end of the day.” As a result, I still have many studios waiting for brands to launch, architecture projects to be finished, clients to give the green-light to publish projects online – before the design studio can send me a single image. The waiting does get unbearable at times, but in the end it’s all worth it ;)
Luckily for me, DesignStudio (not to be confused with Design Studio, Design Studios, Designed Studio, Wearedesignstudio) who happened to launch their website last week, were granted permission to upload a new Nokia project to their website yesterday, of all days! So not only do I get to feature some brand spanking new content on SI, I also get to satisfy my fetish for Nokia related design ;) .
For more delicious hi-res images of their recent projects (shot on a refreshing blue background) be sure to click the page link below. Cheers again to Rich and all the DesignStudio folk for making my day :) .
