Centrefold Magazine Issue Four
We were asked by Centrefold to design and produce the fourth issue of the magazine. Working alongside photographer and Editor Andrew G. Hobbs, Guest Editor Georgina Hodson and photographers from Webber Represents, a 64-page publication limited to an edition of 1,000 copies was produced. In May 2010 we collected a Grafik Star from the Grafik Magazine Awards for Centrefold.

Burberry – Corporate Responsibility
A technical guide for Burberry’s Corporate Responsibility literature. This document was produced in multiple languages including Chinese and Japanese.

Benito’s Hat Mexican Kitchen
The new Benito’s Hat identity needed to reflect their ethos of making fresh, healthy, authentic Mexican food. Through client workshops we established brand principles that became the foundation for the new identity. A new logo, colour palette and typeface were created along with a full set of identity guidelines. A library of photography was created, capturing the freshness and authenticity of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant during the day and evening.

Wolsey Infant School Prospectus
DesignStudio was approached by Wolsey Infant School to create a new prospectus. We wanted to tell the story of a day in the life of Wolsey Infant School and capture the breadth of the curriculum through warm yet uncontrived photography. Along with photographer Adam Laycock, we spent a day at Wolsey Infant School documenting the vibrancy of the children and everyday life of their learning environment. A simple A5 prospectus was produced to explain to children and their parents what they can expect from the school.

That photography project for Nokia is so lush! What a dream project

Anyone know who the photographer was?

Love a bit of screen-printed acrylic too

  2. David

@Luke Thanks for dropping by Luke; the photography is gorgeous. I’ll get Rich to leave a comment on here shortly ;)

  3. Hi Luke, thanks for the kind comments.

The photography was by Adam Laycock and Ben Wright.

  4. Marc

I love the minimal type and the photography as Luke mentioned above is a real delight. So fresh and dynamic!

  5. Luke

Fresh and dynamic is an excellent way to describe that photography!

Thanks for getting back to me David and Rich

  6. Neat. Is there any way of getting a rough spec. on those Nokia certificates?

  7. Hi Grez, we can’t divulge too much information for obvious reasons, but we can tell you that each certificate was screenprinted individually for each winner/runner up by K2 Screen. The acrylic was laser cut, and each colour represents a different award category.

  8. Noted. Cheers Rich!
