Farrow

Nothing like a bit of Farrow to start a rather bleak Monday morning. Last week I was rather fortunate to get hold of one of the books they designed for Bailey/Rankin because I have as they say, connections, in the London graphic design underworld ;)
Pictured is the minimal identity they designed for Fiell Publishers.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again – I’m not keen on the ‘black box’ that appears when you go into ‘work’. That said you can’t pick fault with the work!

  3. Thank the lord they changed their website.

  4. Really inspirational stuff!

Farrow had an impact on me at a very young age (14 to be exact) before I’d even realised I wanted to be a designer! and I luckily still own these two 12″ he designed when he was know as 3a (if memory serves me right?) each sleeve has an interesting, abstract library shot on the reverse, I remember thinking it was very cool for the time (1991)

A bit dogy images, but the best I could find…

    U_helv,

    I can definitely relate.
Mark was part of 3A, although to be honest, I don’t know much about them!

Some of the work on display is slightly older than I am am, but I’m sure it was all the rage back in the day!
