Hans-Christian Schink is a photographer who lives and works in Leipzig, Germany. “. . . The sparse aesthetics of travel and transport routes are the primary focus of his art. His photographs isolate segments and details of highways, bridges, and railways and scenes of their blandly reconstituted natural surroundings. Simple and monumental at once, they are masterpieces of austerity and reduction. These fragmentary /images of concrete structures and artificially greened landscapes beneath milky-gray skies are heightened to almost symbolic intensity.”
Absolutely gorgeous photography, shame he doesn’t have his own website.
