Corn Exchange Gallery Chong Bin Park “Inside Outside” Invite and Catalogue
Design James Windsor

“The invite is a sheet of folded down, ultra-lightweight, Bible paper printed in one colour. This concept was conceived after meeting with Chong Bin and gaining insight into the artist’s themes. Rather than concentrating on the literal physicalisation of the work, I tried to create a piece that was sensitive to the artist’s approach and thinking: pure, honest and evocative.

The catalogue continues to develop the idea of inside/outside and the invisible vulnerability of Chong Bin’s work. It takes elements from the invite and uses them to explore even more about the artist’s way of thinking. In a similar way to the invite, the catalogue splits the emotional and the rational information to create more emphasis on the idea of inside and outside and the invisible vulnerability of the work.”

Mr. Windsor must have known I’d feature this piece otherwise why would he add SI as a contact on Flickr, and furthermore upload /images that are bigger than 500px? ;)
Either way, I’ve wanted to feature this project for quite some time because this older post doesn’t do the piece justice if you know what I mean.

  1. Ha. I’m not that sneaky I’m afraid. Just added you as a contact because I like your blog.

    Thanks for posting me.

Thank you James. No problem regarding the post – as long as the work meets with SI’s high standards, you’re always welcome on the site ;)
