Design Manual

Heist
We created a logo, stationery, and website for San Francisco based video production company Heist. Click here to visit their website.

Manual
In-house stationery.

Mike and Maaike
San Francisco-based industrial design studio Mike and Maaike are most recognized for designing Google’s first Android phone, the G1. They approached us to design a new website to showcase their projects. This led to the design of a new logotype and economical stationery design – utilizing a multi-purpose letterhead for all their communication needs.

Slice
Slice collaborates with world-renowned designers such as Yves Behar and Karim Rashid, to create award-winning ceramic cutting tools for the home and office. Manual created an iconic brand identity to illustrate this cutting edge product. We articulated the brand identity across a packaging system, print literature and exhibition graphics to showcase the angular nature of the logo.

Manual is a graphic design and branding consultancy based in San Francisco. Their approach is tailored to every project and is always grounded in clarity, simplicity, and beautifully crafted design. Clients are as varied as their interests – from small businesses and niche brands, through to international corporations. They apply the same level of focus and creativity regardless of project scale or client location.

Did you honestly think I’d let this one pass without some decent sized images? ;)
Whilst I couldn’t get hold of any exclusives (I know how much you, dear reader, love exclusives) I did manage to get hold of some alternative images that aren’t available on the site which includes the previously unseen Slice business cards and a linear shot of the Slice poster.

@D @Robert Less is more – I love how the angular detail of the logo takes various forms in the printed communications.

  5. This is all really nicely photographed – which makes even the most simple jobs look striking. The Slice identity is a really well executed and distinctive identity. I love the way it’s been adapted, along with the simple colour schemes.

I hadn’t heard of this agency until it exploded onto the blog scene earlier last week.
It just goes to show how many other well-kept secrets there are, currently out there at
    the moment.

  6. Very late on the comment, but my god Mr Crabtree has some serious skills. Stunning, timeless work.

  7. Thanks for sharing those images. Keep posting more helpful posts like the same.
