Marque – Recent Projects: Part 2

Editorial
As promised last week, here is part 2 of the Marque – Recent Projects special feature. What I wasn’t expecting however, was for Marque to add even more beautifully crafted work to their site – now I’m even more behind! Seriously though, just take a few minutes to enjoy the work below (and allow your draw to drop once again) because it really is exceptional stuff, but then this is Marque so what do you expect? ;)

Nolitan
Nolita – ‘North of Little Italy’ – is your neighborhood in New York and The Nolitan Hotel is your home when you’re there. At the corner of Kenmare and Elizabeth Streets, The Nolitan Hotel is the first luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan to open in this authentic New York City neighborhood. Marque created the name, positioning, brand identity, signage and way finding, toiletries, in room materials, Nolitan newspaper and all marketing materials for the hotel.

The brand celebrates the diversity of the neighborhood and the local niche businesses that make Nolitan’s unique, encouraging guests to become a Nolitan too.

Haunch of Venison (2010)
We have had the pleasure of working on many shows for Haunch of Venison in New York since it opened in 2008. From invitations and advertising for each show, and wall graphics for the exhibitions – each has allowed us a great deal of freedom to have some fun.

Gorgeous work. Does anyone know the typeface used for Nolitan?

  2. David

I believe the typeface you are looking for is Snell Roundhand Black, albeit with some slight modifications

  3. Marque never fail to inspire with their considered work and eye for detailed finishing. #respect

Soooooo nice – top to bottom… Anyone got an ID on the serif font used in the Nolitan newspaper?

  5. The Nolitan looks so good on these letterheads, cards and bags.
I’m a big fan of this logo, color, style and it’s usage.
    lovely!

  6. Ramon Marin

I love the Nolitan work, it looks ace despite the weather card looking way similar to the Claridge’s ones. I love the red edges in the notepads

  7. David

@Luke I’ll try and get an answer for you next week ;)
If you’re looking for something with a similiar feel, may I recommend Publico?

@Ramon – How nice of you to drop by Mr. Marin ;)
I love all the packaging and communications just as much as the next person, but what I really love is how Marque have taken a classic face like ‘Snell’ and made it look so fresh!

  9. So good to see a studio not defined by it’s own style but with the agility, intelligence and sensitivity to create such diversity. Nolitan is beautiful work, it takes such skill to make something feel this ‘easy’ – I’m with you Ramon, love the red edge!

  10. Gorgeous designs !!

  11. beau boulot, surtout le dernier screen

  12. Sandra

Beautiful Design! Wondering, if I could one of those magnificent bags, shown in picture 6 from above? Would be more than happy to ge a tresure of Design like that! Keep up the great work!

  13. I love the inspirational projects made by Marque… Does anybody know what happen to its website?
