 mimeArtist

It’s hard to match the beauty of printed communication when it comes to design for the screen, but you can get pretty close as James Stone of mimeArtist shows. He has produced various websites in collaboration with agencies such as NB:Studio, Saturday and MadeThought, and already you can tell that this chap is the business. I love his “bespoke” take on web design and just by looking through his portfolio, you can tell that a lot of time and energy went into his sites. Flash can be a real bastard at times and you’ve got to admire the fact that James works with this program on a regular basis!
Pictured is the Surface View site he created alongside NB:Studio whilst at his previous company, Engage.

    Nice post David,

Some great flash work on show. I am in love with the typeface used by NB studio for the Surface View logo – do have any idea what font it is mate?

    Cheers

    Sam,

I’m not entirely sure. Some elements are similar to Didoni, but not quite.
I have a feeling it may have been a custom job.

  3. I think it might be Modern No 216 http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/itc-modern-no-216/
    And mime artist is brilliant.

  4. Its a didone font though so your close David!

  5. I should point out as my web site states, that this project was originally designed at my previous company Engage

  10. Cool… just didn’t want getting an ear bending… I do do stuff on the site now though (all the cropping tools etc are my handy work :)
