Moving Brands

Many of you will be familiar with branding big guns, Moving Brands. Whilst their signature corporate style may not be to everyone’s taste, they certainly have some nice bits and pieces if you look in the right places.
Pictured is the premium souvenir programme they designed for a gala fundraising performance of the play ‘Grand Hotel’ at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre.

Strange, didn’t Bibliothèque design the Moving Brands identity? it’s rare that design consultancy would look to another design consultancy, especially when they apparently specialise in identity, isn’t it?!

  2. Yes but they work on a more collaborative level. Most of their idents were created in conjunction with another studio, they then develop the brand and more specifically add movement to the brand, animation, motion etc….eg moving brands.

Bibliothèque did design the Moving Brands Id but like Dan said, they work on a more collaborative level so some work in their portfolio isn’t 100% Moving Brands as they probably worked alongside various other designers/agencies etc. Don’t mark my word on it because, to be honest I don’t know too much about MB! ;)

What’s happened to Bibliotheque? Are they still operating? I haven’t seen any new work from them in a while and the website’s not been updated since last year.

    Ben,

Bibliothèque are still operating and they are as busy as ever. I spoke to Jon a month ago and he mentioned that they were working on rebuilding their site. I’m not sure if it will be ready this year, but it’ll definitely be worth that wait.
