NB Studio

There have finally been some signs of life on the website of NB Studio. Don’t expect too much however, as they are still going down the “abstract” portfolio route, but at least they’ve added whole a bunch of new/old projects, to keep your taste buds tingling.
Pictured is House, a quarterly collection of essays reflecting the world of Soho House.

    As much as I love NB: Studio, their ideas always feel refreshing and original, and have/are a big influence on me, this website frustrates me!! As pointed out the ‘abstract’ approach, although visually it is impactful and leaves me wanting to see more, I guess it’s this wanting more that is what I find most frustrating. I would never tell them how to go about designing their website, but I’d love to see all their brilliant work in more of a showcase/portfolio style, or the release of a Studio monograph perhaps?!

    Helv,

    I can definitely relate. I have actually seen photographs of their work in various design books, so they could easily design a more showcase/portfolio style site, having said that, perhaps one of the reasons why they have decided to pursue this “abstract” approach is to stop people from copying their ideas. Which in a way makes sense because they are known a studio that sets trends and doesn’t follow them!

    I agree with the two previous posters… the NB website is pretty weak, compared to the strength of their work. If you have great work you’re proud of, why not show it?

  6. Great to see the work profiled, and I like very much what NB:Studio do. Two of the three photographs on the covers of House are my photographs so I thought if you would like to see more of my work you can check out my website;
