The Nelson Associates Christmas Card inspired by the work of Marcel Duchamp.
What a week last week turned out to be – everything started off smoothly enough, until Wednesday evening when SI went down for 4 days. In internet land 4 days is a long time especially when 24 hour support becomes 96 hour support! Thankfully everything is sorted out now and posting can resume normally.
On to the main event!
Nelson Associates, for those of you that don’t know, is a Surrey-based design studio founded by Creative Director, Christian Nelson. With a reputation for creating thoughtful, considered, beautifully produced design, they work with clients and brands that seek to present themselves in a way that is both distinctive and memorable. This bumper packed feature marks their first on SeptemberIndustry and it probably won’t be their last either – this is clean, considered visual communication at its best, carefully stripped down until all that remains are the essential elements. Nothing is there that isn’t necessary and that gives their work the beauty and clarity that it possesses.
Thank you once again to Christian for making this feature possible. You can view more of NA’s work by visiting their website below.

10 Queen Anne Street
A multi-million pound redevelopment creating five minimalist apartments from an imposing 1960′s town house, Artesian Property Partnership commissioned Nelson Associates to market their dramatic vision.
Treating the property as a brand, all design evolved seamlessly from the building’s fine materials commencing with a marque that appears hewn from Portland stone. Nelson Associates collaborated with acclaimed fashion photographer Chris Brooks and, in homage to German artist, Thomas Demand, shot dramatic interior features as works of art, an iconic aesthetic that permeates the website, advertising and coffee table book showcasing the apartments.

Argyll
The name Argyll has become synonymous with the finest serviced offices in some of the most prestigious addresses in London. Discreet, unbranded facades, extraordinary interiors and impeccable service are the hallmark of an Argyll office.
Every aspect of the identity needed to be as considered as the ethos it represents, so our strategy was to focus on elegant simplicity, visually and verbally, with engaging photography, high-end production, materials and finishing across the full marketing portfolio.

Florin Kildare
The need to convey heritage, instill confidence and inspire trust was integral to wealth management company Florin Kildare. Despite being newly-established, the founders’ impeccable credentials brought instant stature for a brand that needed a suitably distinctive identity.
We embarked on a series of workshops that revealed both depth and gravitas in a business with strategic clarity and visionary thinking. This insight inspired a high quality signature style for all elements of their identity including bespoke typography and premium handcrafted papers.

The May Fair Hotel
Set in the heart of London with a legacy of unrivalled glamour, The May Fair Hotel was as much at the heart of society when it opened in the roaring 20’s as it is an international magnet for A-listers today.
Tasked with creating an identity to encapsulate an iconic heritage and the contemporary revamp of this London landmark, we created a sense of timeless elegance, from the written word through to art direction and photography. In a full series of promotional literature, we implemented a seamless extension to the distinctive interior design ethos that makes The May Fair what it is today.
