Lorick Fall ’09 — Invitation Design & Art Direction
Lorick’s Fall ’09 collection was inspired by the dark drama of the French New Wave, specifically François Truffaut’s The Bride Wore Black. We worked with photographer Tom Hines to create a film-like quality in the photos, using narrative devices like suspense, the tension of a love triangle, and absurd Hitchcockian death scenes to develop a dramatic environment accompanied by an appropriately stormy, sinister sky.

Ten Over Six — Brand Identity
The boutique was named after the price tag for “10/6″ (10 pounds 6 pence) on the Mad Hatter’s hat. We found inspiration from the vernacular of contemporary price tags, a Monopoly money color palette and gold “discount” stickers to create the brand’s signature symbol.

Lorick — Brand Identity
Lorick is a women’s ready-to-wear line launched in Spring 2007 by Abigail Lorick. Based on the idea of bringing elegance and manners of past generations back to modern women today, we developed an etiquette mascot named the “Lorick Lady,” representing a combination of “uptown elegance” and “downtown cool.” We designed a pattern of the Lorick Lady’s initials, “LL,” onto hangtags and scarves as well as embroidered into the interior of the clothes.

Timo Weiland — Brand Identity
Timo Weiland, an up-and-coming designer, wanted to take his brand from a relatively unknown line to an established Men’s and Women’s ready-to-wear collection. Inspired by Timo’s love of classic tailoring, unisex accessories and modern elegance, we combined ideas of refined classicism, quirky details and contemporary street-style to create a uniquely “Timo” identity. We art directed and designed the collateral for Timo’s debut Spring ‘10 and subsequent Fall ‘10 presentations.

Candela Spring ’11 — Invitation & Lookbook Design
Candela is a women’s shoe line and ready-to-wear collection, created by Gabriela Prezuitt-Isacson and Natalia Kuks. For Candela’s Spring/Summer ‘11 Presentation, we transformed the Jane Hotel into a trading post, a place where two worlds collide, exploring the ever-present theme of duality in Candela’s collections. The presentation evoked images of radiance, warmth, and adventure, while maintaining a semblance of the old world in the form of handmade materials and objects.
