SeptemberIndustry x Progress Packaging

Yesterday I struck a deal with the Devil AKA Simon at Progress Packaging; agreeing to post current/upcoming /images of their products on SeptemberIndustry every week or so. Now I’m sure you’re thinking to yourself: why, out of all the design blogs did they decide to “partner” with SeptemberIndustry? Well, I have been informed that You Lot* have been continually saying nice things about this site, and for that you get a non-refundable pat on the back ;)
Pictured is a one colour litho printed bag, given a twist with silver foil blocking and a delicate laser cut design. Self support handles and a folding base make this unique bag even more special apparently ;) Designed by MadeThought. for Chinese restaurant Yauatcha

  1. What do you get out of the deal?

  2. When you come to London David, you should go and order their ‘venison puffs’ – extremely tasty! And while your stuffing your face, you can appreciate Ken Winch’s interior design (http://www.kenwinchdesign.com/Yauatcha.html),
gotta love those blue glass doors…

    Sam,

I guess the best thing that’s coming out of this deal is a few extra contacts and some tasty images :) Oh, and something else as well… ;)

    Bob,

Yauatcha has been on my list of places to eat ever since I left for BKK. I can imagine, dining in a well-designed environment makes the food taste that much better :)
Thanks for the link too. I think someone needs to re-design their site!

Im all for seeing what PP are up to on a regular basis, their site left me wanting more!

  5. Indeed, the site is horrid. Send ‘em some mock ups mate! ;-D

But it’s not just the interiors you will enjoy, you’ll get some interesting clientele in there too.
Apart from many a busty lady accompanied by their sugar daddys, the last time I went in there, the most interesting character in there was this cock-sure gentleman with slick back hair, looking very suave, and strutting around with his shirt sleeves rolled up, just so that the restaurant would notice his very shiny black wooden false arm…

quite threatening it was too, as it was not a hand on the end of that shiny wooden arm, but a sharpened hook, a la James Bond villain stylee. I am not even joking.
But it had a really cool looking gold insignia embossed into it as well, so big kudos for branding his false arm right?

Maybe I will send them some Mock-ups ;)

    Haha… Many a busty lady… ;)

That sounds like quite the interesting gentleman!
Despite the fact that he appeared to have a somewhat, “threatening” demeanor as you put it; you have to you have to give it to the guy. He managed to slick back his hair, and roll up both his sleeves with just one arm! If that isn’t talent, then I don’t know what is ;)

  7. LOL!

Good point, how the hell did he do that?!

  8. David

Seeing as he managed to get a gold insignia branded onto his arm, he probably paid someone to do do his hair, and roll up his sleeves for him ;)
