A Few Words from the Editor

Whenever Studio 2br inform me of new work they’ve recently completed, I always get excited like a kid that’s had too much sugar :). I guess you could say I have a strong appreciation for what they do, especially their rational approach to grids and typography. (Links to more of their work can be found at the bottom of this speil)

Much of Studio 2br’s output is for Deutsche Bank, a global banking and financial services company with German roots. Not only do they design many of the Bank’s corporate comms and publications but they were also behind the beautiful brand guidelines too which probably explains why everything looks so consistent! Thank you once again to Dave for making this feature possible :)

  1. What can I say… awesome works as always.

  2. Are there no comments because all the viewers are speechless?

    The work is indeed breathtaking.

I’m wondering if there’s not too much monotony for this studio, focus on one particular client and aestethics for such a long period. Suppose it may be hard to challenge yourself with each piece, to pursue to find something new, to improve.

  3. @Jakub – I’ve tought about the same, but in the other hand when you see how much creative freedom they have from DB (what is quite strange with a such large corporate client) they can’t be bored :)

  4. Matthew Day (MatthewNotMatt)

Haven’t left a comment in a while, not sure why as I always love the work on September. But just had to say that the Focus work is out of this world, I love the strong but not restrictive grid and the gorgeous typography. Really classic and timeless work.
