J and Peter made some great points, but at the end of the day it all comes down to your disposable income regardless of how beautiful the piece of design is. Im sure there are many out there that would love to buy this poster but can't due to financial reasons. It's the world we live in Im afraid.

"Art is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it."

- I think design is worth so much more.

i appreciate the constructive criticism - i really do. what i find particularly sad is how quick certain people are to de-value design art - why? is graphic design output really only worth say £50? - or better yet, how about a cap of £30? do we really think that little of ourselves and the value of what we create?

my motivation in producing Love Will... was purely based on the love of the song and Joy Division. my ability to continue to produce pieces like this and A_B_ (which took 1 full month to create) is dependent on recouping the cost of my time - it is unsustainable to work at a loss.

all my love, p.

Well said Peter, I'm with you. I love your work and think it makes a valuable contribution to the world of design in our time.

i wouldn't make any assumptions about your motives, it's just a fact that i find this and many similar graphic posters/ltd editions to be overpriced. now that's not negativity to your design which i think is beautiful. if you feel £85 is justified then that is your opinion and its just poster. but there is a whole bunch of potential buyers who are put of but that figure.

what some of you (apologies if i'm being presumptuous) perhaps don't see in the poster is time required in gathering the information presented - no small feat. additionally, the graph was not produced using an automated data processing program - all illustrator hand-work - every single line of text, strings of dots and radiating lines. why the negativity? - do you really think that the poster (or my other graphic artwork) is simply a money-making scheme?
