William Hall

Only one post today but it’s a good one nonetheless:
The recent release of the music video for ‘Race for the Bone‘ by Hook and the Twin, marks William Hall’s directorial debut, and a successful one at that if you take into consideration that the budget for this project was £Zero.
William is also involved with all aspects of the band’s art direction and a subsequent archive of flyers (amongst other things) is available to view here (lovingly set in Akzidenz Grotesk).

  1. Not great to be honest… Big fan of the print stuff, but this didn’t tick any boxes for me.

I’ve never doubted William’s skills as communicator and whilst this is the first time he has ventured into this territory, you have to take into consideration that this project may well have had budget constraints amongst other things (this is an unsigned artist after all). That aside, a music video is just another form art – it will be appreciated/understood more by some than others. But what do I know eh? ;)
