“The ‘Mind Zone’ — one of fourteen individual exhibition spaces within the Millennium Dome — was inspired by the structural complexity of the human mind. It consists of three overlapping volumes, which unfold to create a continuous surface that can be floor wall or ceiling to allow for a fluid perception of space.
As a narrative strategy, the three elements complement the primary mental functions; “input”, “process”, and “output” represented variously through the distortion of perspective, educational exhibits, sculpture, computers, audiovisual installations and interactive elements.”

Who remembers the “failure” that was the Millenium Experience? I certainly do, because I spent a day there and subsequently enjoyed the experience so to speak. It’s just a shame that I wasn’t really into Zaha Hadid at the time because if the exhibition was still running today, I probably would have spent more time looking at exterior of the “Mind Zone” than the interior itself!
